Just because we haven't released any music in a while, and haven't updated this page in months, doesn't mean we don't still love each and every one of you.

To prove our undying affection for you, the internet geek out there, we've decided to put on a little contest. 

PRESENTING:

All you have to do is write a short essay on why you love (or hate) The Gothic Surfers, and send it to gothicsurfersessay@yahoo.com, before January 1, 2002. January 15, 2002 Dave and a panel of  esteemed judges will choose the best 3. The winners will receive transportation to Austin Texas, an autographed T-shirt, and dinner at one of Dave's favorite restaurants, where he'll share Gothic Surfers stories, and you can find out what makes him tick. If your essay isn't picked, don't be sad, everyone else who sends essays will receive a small token of the band's appreciation.

All essays become property of the gothic surfers, and may be posted on the gothic surfer's website. "Transportation" to Austin, Texas refers to gas, winners  must provide their own vehicles, if the contestant is unable to provide his/her own vehicle, an alternative mode of transportation (i.e. bus, cab, train, scooter; not exceeding \\$20) will be provided. If a contestant is not able to find an alternative, he/she will receive an alternate prize, of equal or lesser value. Actual cash value of entire prize: \\$25 dollars. Winners will be notified via e-mail. A current mailing address is required to receive prizes.
